I think this one particular piece the darks and line are a little too thick, but thank you! The real life Edward Teach would burn the ends of the braids in his beard so he would look like he was breathing smoke and embers, I thought it would be a cool thing to draw, plus the spiky mouth and circle eyes motif you see a lot in anime I also thought would help
